What if History is a lie?
I thought I was wrong 1 time, but then quickly realized I was right!
What if?
History is often taught with the view of what happened. My thought is to look at the WHY did things happen. What if our Worldview is wrong? There is 1 thing that I am certain of in this life, and that is my faith in CHRIST. So don’t worry, I’ve not gone heretical again. We can debate these facts all day and I won’t change my mind, but that’s not what my musings are about today.
What I mean by Worldview is the lenses that we use to view our daily lives. I’ve only had glasses for about 14 years. When I first got them I was surprised at what I could see. Each time I get a new pair for the first few days I’m amazed at what I was missing.

Here is what I would like you to do. Take off your glasses of how you view history and set them aside for a few minutes. I’ve done this several times throughout my life, and each time it’s been a great learning experience.
For any who know me you know ever since I was a little kid that I was a rebel at heart. I use to visit with a neighbor friend of mine almost daily. His name was Elmer Disnsmore. Elmer did things different than what my dad did. He often would make things and have ideas about fixing things that were different. They were not wrong ways, but different. I think that is one thing that always helped me wonder if there was a different or better way to do something, and to not settle for the way things have always been done. Let’s just say that I have never gone with the norm, and that’s the way God made me and I’m fine with that.
Ok back to your glasses. Everything is a bit fuzzy when I don’t have my glasses on. I can still see, but I don’t see clearly. Now let’s put on a new pair of glasses. This pair is different, there is focus and there is light shining through. We turn on the local news and give it a listen. The first question we must ask is why this item is newsworthy. What is being shared and why is it being shared. What should my reaction be? What is the intended reaction?
Everything we know, we have learned if from something or someone. While we do have created instinct to breathe, eat, drink and go, we were taught many things growing up. I spent many late nights studying for exams so that I could simply pass my History of Civilization class in college. I did pass with a D both semesters, but I digress. Why did I need to learn history? What did I learn? Well I’m not sure what I learned, but why I needed to learn it was purely a decision made just over 130 years ago, by a few aristocrats who thought everyone needed to be taught history. They formed the American Historical Association and well the rest was history! Just to be fair these were wealthy men who gathered data to be shared with others. The questions should flood. Who were these men and Why did they propagate their knowledge?

So now tell me how most of our history becomes history? Who reports and pens the books? Why did they pen those words? What Worldview did they use to pen those words? What if the media of that day formed the narrative? Do we believe the media today? The good news is that today we all are various forms of media and can add to the narrative. Most of the time even digitally record and automatically show it, but there is always things that happen outside of the view of the photo.
What if Alexander Hamilton wasn’t a very good rapper and role model for our children? What if he was a scrupulous banker who helped lead thousands into poverty? Well he was and he started the 1st Bank of America, which had deep ties to the Bank of England and literally stole money from the poor only to feed his own pockets.
What if Abraham Lincoln wasn’t assassinated because of the Civil War, but for the fact that he was against Central Banks and thought that our money supply shouldn’t have to be financed by foreign entities?
What if the sinking of the Titanic wasn’t an accident? Was it any coincidence that 3 of the nation’s wealthiest men were on board and that they were against forming of the Federal Reserve Bank and specifically fractional reserve banking? All 3 of them perished and allowed any dissidents to be removed from the conversation.
What if wars were simply ways to make the Central Banks Wealthier and demonstrated ways to control governments? What if the majority of the modern Worldview was simply a rouse by wealthy men behind a curtain?

Those glasses may be a bit dirty now and may need to be cleaned. What if all of these years history has taught us what they think we should know, and kept the best from us? I believe we will all see clearly soon. This pandemic wasn’t the first of its kind to be written of in history books. Be vigilant, watch everything with discernment, second guess it all and ask WHY. We may be on the precipice of a new History for not only America but the World.
